Bryant Industries and Neuhoff Media-Danville present the 'Green Challenge' for local schools in the area. It's an opportunity to teach children of Vermilion County how they can help their communities with the "Green Classrooms of the Month."
We are inviting the area schools to submit what they are doing in their classrooms that teach students how to be "green." Maybe it's collecting aluminum cans. Maybe it's using your brain to come up with a great idea to help the planet. Maybe you're building some great art from recycled materials. Whatever your project is...we want to hear about it.
Monthly winners will be announced on the last Friday of the month. They will also be featured on VermilionCountyFirst.com with a class photo. The kids will get a certificate of achievment and a pizza party. We'll even talk about the classroom on D102 and 94.9 K-ROCK. The teachers will win a prize, too.
Some of the school that are already participating include Danville Lutheran School, Pinecrest Elementary in Georgetown, St. Mary's Grade School in Westville, and North Ridge Middle School in Danville.
To submit what your classroom is doing to be "Green," send us an email, or call Bryant Industries corporate office in Danville at (217) 431-0551.
