The Danville City Council will meet Tuesday but not at city hall. Instead, Tuesday’s (April 7, 2020) meeting will be held via teleconference because of the on-going coronavirus emergency.
Some items on the agenda include:
- A resolution adopting a Citizen Participation Plan for Community Development Programs funded by HUD;
- Approving a Five Year Community Development Block Grant Consolidated Plan;
- Approving a resolution Awarding the Contract for Proposed Griffin Street Improvements at the CSX Railroad Crossing;
- Approving a Professional Services Agreement for some Harrison Street Improvements.
City Council members will also hear an update on the Local State of Emergency COVID-19 declaration.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone may listen to the meeting via YouTube live audio streaming services. The link for live audio streaming will be provided on the City of Danville’s website’s homepage: www.cityofdanville.org. Citizens wishing to make public comments are asked to submit those comments via email to cityclerk@cityofdanville.org by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. The public comments will be read during the audience comment segment of the meeting per City Council rules and time limits. An audio recording of the meeting will be posted on the City’s website following the meeting.
