One hundred thirty-four new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Vermilion County.
County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole also says four more county residents have died from the virus: a woman in her 90’s, two men in their 70’s and one man in his 60’s. The death count from COVID in Vermilion County is now up to 40 individuals.
The new cases announced Tuesday afternoon, broken down by age, consist of:
- One person in their 90’s
- 11 people in their 80’s
- 12 people in their 70’s
- 15 people in their 60’s
- 19 people in their 50’s
- 18 people in their 40’s
- 24 people in their 30’s
- 16 people in their 20’s
- Eight teenagers
- Eight grade-school students
- Two toddlers
Vermilion County’s active case count has increased to 245 cases, and the total number of cases is now at 3,237.
There are currently 34 COVID patients locally who are hospitalized. The county’s positivity rate is 15.2 percent.
