The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that construction work will begin Monday, July 12, 2021, along a segment of Illinois route 9. The work located between the Ford/Vermilion County line and Hoopeston will involve pavement patching and resurfacing. It will require intermittent lane closures.
The work is expected to be completed in late November.
The Rebuild Illinois program, which was passed in 2019, is investing $33.2 billion dollars into the state’s aging transportation system.
Motorists should use extreme caution in the construction zones.
