The U.S. Small Business Administration is opening a Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Gibson City on Thursday to help those affected by the August 12th flooding. The Outreach Center will be located at the Gibson City Fire Department at 115 S. Lawrence Street. It will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Businesses and residents in the declared area can now apply for low-interest disaster loans from the SBA. The disaster declaration covers Ford County and the adjacent counties of Champaign, Iroquois, Vermilion, McLean, Kankakee and Livingston.
Customer Service Representatives will be available at the Outreach Center to answer questions about the disaster loan program and to help individuals complete their applications. All visitors to the Outreach Center are encouraged to wear a face mask due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
