Danville may be opening a casino in about a year from now, but there’s a little “gaming” going on this coming weekend. The Danville Symphony Orchestra will be hosting their biennial fundraiser with a “casino-themed gala,” Saturday night at Danville Area Community College’s Jacobs Hall. DSO Board President Dr. Stephen Nacco says the prizes for this kind of casino gaming will start with Danville Symphony Orchestra tickets.
AUDIO: It’s done through a company, Casino Games, that comes in. They’ll do the card, two-card games, Blackjack and Poker. You’ll have Craps, and the Big Wheel, and Roulette, and things like that. But what you win are prizes. You win tickets, and then you go into a basket to win prizes. So it’s not for money.
It all starts Saturday evening with cocktails at 4:30 and gaming activities right around 6 PM. Go to atthefischer.com/dso for more information.
