A wonderful moment Wednesday night at the Danville Public Library when a newly dedicated room just off the first floor meeting room was named after former Neuhoff Media broadcaster and Danville Public Library Board member Linda Bolton, who passed away in April. Library executive director Jennifer Hess says this room will be called the Linda Bolton Gathering Space. Hess says one thing that often happens at libraries is court ordered meetings between parties trying to work things out. And now, this room will offer a comfortable, private space.

AUDIO: If you have a court ordered supervision of children and parents that happens here; we have a family using this room for that purpose right now already. And it’s lovely; it’s lovely to be able to see them interact and have some privacy.

Wednesday evening’s dedication took place at the end of a night of poetry readings. Local writers contributed to a published book called “Pulse and Echo.” Stuart Robbins, who played a major part in putting it all together, says these readings will soon be available on the library website, and in additional hard copies.
AUDIO: We’ll actually, beginning next week, have a full electronic version on our website that anybody can read; doesn’t cost anything. If people want additional hard copies they can contact Peter, because we’re now doing a second printing. So he will have some extra copies for people if they’re interested.
