The 216th observance of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday will be celebrated Sunday with an open house at the Vermilion County Museum. Both the Museum Center and historic home of Dr. William Fithian (next door) will be open with free admission from 1:30 until 4:00 p. m. Sunday, February 9, 2025.
Visitors will be able to view over 500 birthday cards which were made by fourth and fifth grade students at eleven Vermilion County schools. The cards designed by forty-seven students have won prizes which will be awarded on Sunday.
The Abraham Lincoln Birthday Open House at the Museum is sponsored by The Meyer’s Group – Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in Danville.
