THE FOLLOWING IS A TREP RELEASE
The Trep School® is partnering with IL Department of Transportation to provide a free, inperson workshop at the Soar Space Business Center, located at 2 E Main #36 (in Riverfront Plaza/Towne Centre) on Monday, October 20 at 5:30 p.m.
The workshop is designed to help small business owners understand the DBE certification process and determine their eligibility. Participants will learn:
What DBE Certification is
The benefits of IDOT DBE certification
How to assess whether their firm qualifies
Those who are interested in obtaining certification will also have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one session for personalized guidance and support with the application process.
According to Tricia Teague, CEO of The Trep School® and Danville Alderwoman, businesses in the Danville area are missing out on valuable opportunities due to a lack of visibility among government agencies, utilities, and other organizations seeking certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs).
“DBE certification can be a game-changer for small businesses looking to grow through government and utility contracts,” said Teague. “We want to make sure local entrepreneurs have the tools and support they need to get certified and get noticed.”
Registration is strongly encouraged. To reserve a spot, visit:
