The Vermilion County Coroner has released the identity of the person whose body was recovered from Lake Vermilion over the weekend. Coroner Jane McFadden says the victim is 19-year-old La’Bresha Lillard of Danville.
The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department’s Underwater Search and Rescue Team found Lillard’s body in a car that was submerged in the lake. Chief Sheriff’s Investigator Captain Michael Hartshorn says no foul play is suspected in the death.
Coroner McFadden says an autopsy is scheduled in the case on Tuesday (February 21st). And the Coroner says her office and the sheriff’s department are continuing their investigation into the death.
