The first stop was meeting twin sisters Kelsey and Kaylee Blackford, from the Armstrong - Potomac area, in the Senior Division of the 4-H Open Beef Showcase. Kelsey took first place. And now, she's ready for a, should we say, bigger challenge.

There will also be discussion sessions on Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health and Family & Parenting. The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois will also award a $1,000 grant to a local non-profit organization in attendance.

The 2026 Georgetown Fair Queen Pageant will begin at 6 PM; Monday, July 13th.

Athletes from around the Midwest will travel to Savoy to compete, including the Indy Thunder, Chicago Comets, Chicago Sirens, and Gateway Archers.

This event is the major fundraiser of the year for East Central Illinois community Action Agency. Because of the strict criteria set on each of our state and federal grants, we often have customers that need help but do not fit those criteria. This is when the need for unrestricted funds comes into play.

Besides experience, Carlton had a leg up in the pageant, having been a Georgetown-Ridge Farm FFA student and a current junior in the agribusiness economics program at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
