JP Sports will host its first 11 weekends with the Rantoul Family Sports Complex in April of 2026.

Pastor LeStan Hoskins says this fifth annual event, previously held in Garfield Park, will once again be a way to start youngsters off on the right foot coming out of the school year; especially when it comes to how to behave, and how to speak.

Many of them, under pressure, shot their very best competing against the best in the nation. The competition involved all day shooting in which the JROTC only tournament was conducted in the morning and the open civilian tournament was conducted in the afternoon.

As the sun sets, the energy rises with live music from BorderTown & Co., kicking off the outdoor concert season in style as part of the city's First Fridays series. Sports & Brews steps up as the first live music event of the season.

Dans Co-Owner Rick Kurth says club teams on campus, especially in Illinois and Indiana, are becoming quite popular. They are made up of players that may not be playing on scholarship; but they have a lot of baseball in their backgrounds and want to keep playing the game.
