The principal's association asked DACC to also host the wrestling tournament this year due to the successes of the county basketball and volleyball tournaments there.

eSports Coach Michael "Guido" Esteves reflected on the team's historic achievements. "We had DACC vs. DACC in the national semifinals," he said. "They each felt that playing each other was the hardest match of the tournament."

"When you spend the amount of hours and years in that gym I spent there, it just doesn't really hit home," he added. "It's nice you have a legacy like that. I was lucky enough to coach a lot of really great athletes."
