Some area youth will be eligible this summer to receive scholarships to participate in some educational and recreational programs. The East Central Illinois Community Action Agency will be providing assistance for summer programs at both the Danville Family YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club of Danville.
Community Action staff will be at both sites later this month so eligible households can apply for assistance. Those applying must meet all income and program guidelines; and must be at or below 125-percent of the federal poverty guidelines.
The sign-up for Summer Youth Program Assistance will occur at the Danville Family YMCA on Wednesday, April 26th from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. (or until funding is exhausted). The program at the YMCA is for eligible youth in kindergarten through the 8th grades.
