The Music Department at Danville High School will be hosting its 21st Annual Veterans’ Concert next month. The event on May 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the DHS Dick Van Dyke Auditorium honors all of those in our area who have served in America’s Armed Forces.
World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam Veterans who left an Illinois high school before receiving a high school diploma are eligible to receive one from their home high school. Any Veterans who attended Danville High School, and withdrew to enter the military before graduating, who wish to receive a diploma at the Veterans’ Concert may get it.
Those former Danville High School students wishing to get their high school diploma must contact the Danville High School Registrars Office by April 28th. The office is located inside the high school at 202 East Fairchild Street in Danville. The phone number is (217) 444-1507.
A copy of the Veteran’s honorable discharge paper is required in order to obtain a transcript through the Danville High Records Office.
