The Kenneth D. Bailey Academy in Danville is seeking nominations for its Vermilion County Veterans Wall of Fame. The Academy is seeking nominations of veterans who not only served our country, but have had an influence on the lives of Vermilion County residents.
Recipients of the honor will have a plaque and photo immortalizing them on a hallway mural at the Kenneth D. Bailey Academy. Nominations must be sent to the Academy at 502 East Main Street in Danville by April 17th.
A dedication ceremony will be held later for the person or persons who are selected for the ‘’Wall of Honor’’. Application forms may be picked up at the KDBA main office at 502 East Main Street, the School District 118 administrative offices, Vermilion County War Museum, Vermilion County Museum, American Legion Post 210, Elks Lodge #147 IBPOE of W, Danville Post Office, and the Veterans Administration Hospital.
All nominations will be evaluated by a committee of educators and civic leaders.
