Parke County Indiana Sheriff’s Police are holding a Rockville man on murder charges. Deputies arrested 64-year-old John Hartman at his home on Poplar Street in Rockville early Saturday.
The Sheriff’s Department says officers were called to the home at 1:30 a.m. where they found a deceased female inside. Authorities say she had suffered massive trauma. The victim was identified as Rebecca Hartman – the suspect’s wife.
A crime scene technician from the Indiana State Police is assisting Rockville Police in their investigation of the death. John Hartman was transported to the Parke County Jail where he is being held without bond on murder charges.
