Although scattered showers and thunderstorms may spoil part of your weekend plans, these guys and gals could care less about getting wet. Sunset Memorial Park in Danville is celebrating the arrival of six baby cygnets. Joe and Nellie are the proud parents of the new baby swans which were born one week ago.
In these photos the family was out for a swim on Thursday. Sunset welcomes people to view Joe and Nellie’s family, but a sign warns visitors not to get too close. The adult swans are protective of the cygnets.
This time of the year the pond at Sunset usually attracts a lot of visitors anyway because it is a popular site for prom and graduation photos.
