The names of two people who died in a tragic Indianola house fire last Friday have been released. Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden says 91-year-old Harold ‘Hoot’ Craig and his 95-year-old wife, June Craig, died when the fire struck their home. He had operated the Craig Dairy Farm for over 50 years and she was an educator and well-known area antique dealer.
Firefighters found the two-story home northwest of Indianola engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene. Fire area fire departments took part in battling the flames.
Although the official cause of the fire remains under investigation, Coroner McFadden says no foul play is suspected.
