Danville Police are investigating the discovery of a body found early Monday in the 900 block of Fowler Street. Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden late Monday identified the victim as 24-year-old Brandon Dallas-Hagan from Indianapolis. The Coroner said the victim had suffered a gunshot wound and that an autopsy is scheduled Tuesday. Public Safety Director Larry Thomason says police had received reports of shots fired in that area.
‘’Danville Police received a call of possible shots fired at about 8:00 a.m. this morning in the 900 block of Fowler. Police arrived and checked the area and have located a body in a field in that general area. At this point in time it’s uncertain the causes, and we’re investigating a death,’’ said Thomason.
Director Thomason added that, ‘’If anyone has any information whatsoever who was out earlier, or any information pertaining to this particular incident, you’re asked to call Danville Police or call Crime Stoppers at 446-TIPS.’’
Police sealed off the area with yellow crime scene tape and were searching the area for possible evidence.
