It was 7 years ago in 2010 that Neuhoff Media’s 1490 WDAN received the honor of being named the Illinois Broadcasters Association’s Small Market Radio “Station of the Year.” After the ceremony, the WDAN staff gathered with Miss Illinois for a group photo.
Since that time, WDNL/ D102 has won that same award three times … in 2014, 2016 & 2017. However, each of those years, Miss Illinois was unable to attend the awards ceremony. So on Thursday morning (Aug 10), Miss Illinois Abby Foster stopped by the D102 studios to talk about her journey so far as Miss Illinois, and her upcoming participation in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, NJ on September 10th.
While she was here, we finally got the opportunity to get that picture that we always wanted. Our WDNL Station of the Year awards with Miss Illinois.
