A Danville native is the new District Executive for the Prairielands Council Boy Scouts. Parker Arnholt has an extensive background in Scouting. The Eagle Scout has served as the Program Director at Camp Drake and as Area Director since 2012. This year Camp Drake was cited as having one of the best Summer Camp programs in the Boy Scouts of America’s Area 3.
As the new District Executive, Arnholt will recruit and train Scout leaders, develop Scouting Troops and Packs, work with the Council’s Prairie Fire District’s volunteers, and help develop additional Scouting opportunities in the Danville area.
Prairielands Council has been growing and for several months has led the 13 state Central Region in Scouting growth.
