The Westville Lions Club has announced its honorees for this year’s 107th Labor Day Celebration. Carl Thompson will serve as the Grand Marshal of this year’s parade. The 88-year-old Thompson graduated from Georgetown High School, but attended elementary classes in Westville.
Gary Wright – the Chief of the Westville Area Fire Protection District – is this year’s Honorary Marshal of the Westville parade. Wright has served on the Westville Fire Department for 36 years.
And Judy Barton is the recipients of this year’s Living Legacy Award. She graduated from Westville High School in 1957 and has been active in a number of areas in the community.
Some of the preliminary activities of this year’s Westville Labor Day Celebration took place over the weekend – including the Queen’s contest.

A talent show is set for Thursday and events will then continue through Labor Day at Westville’s Zamberletti Park.
