Oakwood High School graduate Abby Foster says she had a great day Tuesday in Atlantic City getting ready for the Miss America competition. Foster is Miss Illinois and lives just west of Danville. There are 51 young women participating in the preliminaries, with the finals set for September 10th.
Meanwhile 22 young women arrive in Hoopeston today. They will be participating in this weekend’s Miss National Sweetheart competition at the National Sweet Corn Festival.
