Indiana State Police say shots were fired by a Warren County resident early Tuesday when someone invaded their home in the middle of the night. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies were told by William Kellerhals, who lives near Boswell, that two suspects kicked in a door and entered his home around 3:30 a.m.
One of the suspects beat Kellerhals with a baseball bat before the homeowner was able to retrieve a gun and fire shots at the fleeing suspects. Nothing was taken from the home and Kellerhals received only bumps and bruises. He declined medical attention.
The suspects succeeded in fleeing the area and remained at large today (Wednesday). Both suspects are described as white males. One was reported to be about 5-feet, 10-inches tall and wearing a white T-shirt. No other descriptive information was available on the second suspect.
