The Danville Public Library has a number of special activities scheduled this week for both children and adults. Here is a run-down of the schedule:
October 10: Wee Wigglers, for children from birth up to 24 months, with a caregiver, are offered on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Program Room, Danville Public Library. These storytimes contain songs, stories, and serious silliness for the youngest book-lovers.
October 10: Make a Full Moon Tortilla Snack at this week’s Kids’ Snack Club at 3:30 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room. For children, ages 5-18; children under 8 with a caregiver.
October 11: Preschool Pals Playgroup will meet at 10:00 a.m. in the first floor meeting room. For children, ages 2-6 years, and their caregivers.
October 12: Tween Gaming is a chance for children ages 8-11 to game together in the Children’s Program Room from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
October 12: New members are welcome at the Page Turners Book Club. We’ll discuss this month’s selection, Break No Bones by Kathy Reichs, at 3:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room. Copies of the book are available for checkout from the Checkout Desk.
October 13: Adults, 60 and older, are invited to “It’s Coffee Time” to enjoy a sociable hour of hot coffee or tea and conversation, sometimes including music, adult coloring, poetry reading, and board games. This program is held on Fridays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the first floor meeting room.
October 14: Visit the Authors Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to meet published authors, obtain signed copies of their books (or have your previously-purchased copy signed), and pick up helpful publishing information. Bring the kids for fun activities.
