Danville Police say they believe a body that has been recovered is that of a Danville woman who was reported missing on October 24th. Public Safety Director Larry Thomason has announced that detectives recovered the remains early Wednesday, (November 1st, 2017) which they believe are 50-year-old Barbara Rose.
‘’With the recovery detectives are working with the Vermilion County Coroner to determine positive identification,’’ added Thomason. ‘’Several tests remain to be completed at which time the Coroner will be able to provide verifiable information on the person,’’ said Thomason. ‘’The detectives, along with the Coroner’s Office, have worked very hard over the last several days to move this case to completion.’’
Director Thomason adds police continue their extensive investigation in the case in which Ocheil Keys was charged earlier this week with First Degree Murder and Concealment of a Homicidal Death. The case is Danville’s 10th homicide of 2017.
