Motorists in our area have been seeing the price of gasoline climb lately. The cost has risen well over 20-cents a gallon at most stations over the past month. So we contacted the Illinois Petroleum Marketers Association to see what is driving the higher prices.

Fleischli adds usually gas prices rise heading into the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday period, and then tend to drop a little before rising again in the spring. His comments were made during an interview with VermilionCountyFirst.com News on Monday.
