Area residents are showing their support for the Bobbette Steely Hegeler Cancer Care Center in Danville…..one-dollar at a time!
Don and Deanna Witzel, Owner/Operators of the Vermilion County McDonald’s, presented a check to the Cancer Center Thursday for $13,254. It represented the money raised in the recent ‘It’s All in the Jeans’ Program’ where one-dollar patches were sold to customers at the local McDonald’s restaurants. Proceeds went to benefit cancer prevention, detection and treatment programs in the Vermilion County area.
Dr. Jomel Labayog, Medical Director of the Cancer Center, appreciates the support…
And Dr. Labayog adds with Baby Boomers and older residents getting older, the Cancer Center is something the community needs…
Proceeds from ‘’It’s All in the Jeans’’ benefit cancer prevention, detection and treatment programs in the Vermilion County area.
”We are honored by the commitment Don and Deanna have made both to our hospital and to our community,” said Presence Health Regional President and CEO Jared Rogers. ”Through their generosity, we will be able to touch many more lives.”
