A new advanced mobile lab that will be used to train emergency responders across East Central Illinois made its first appearance at Danville’s Number 3 Fire Station today (Tuesday).
The lab is part of an effort by Presence Health to improve emergency medical responses in our region, and was funded through a donation from the Julius W. Hegeler II Foundation.
Kurt Bloomstrand, the Presence Health EMS Medical Director, says gone are the days when emergency responders sat across a table and verbally discussed calls or scenarios..
Bloomstrand notes HAL is even able to detect medications which are administered by emergency personnel…
The new lab will be providing training at fire stations all across the Presence Health service area in East Central Illinois.
