The Danville Area Community College Foundation has extended its deadline for students to apply for scholarships. The new deadline is 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2018.
If you are not a DACC student you must apply for admission to the community college first. Once a person applies for admission they will get a username and password which can be used to apply for scholarships.
Tracy Wahlfeldt, Executive Director of the Foundation, says they try to make it easy for students to apply for assistance. She notes that last year the Danville Area Community College Foundation awarded 575 scholarships totaling $750-thousand dollars. And Wahlfeldt says 82-percent of those who applied for a scholarship last year received some sort of assistance.
Students must upload their transcripts. If they are a high school student they must upload their high school transcript. DACC students who need an electronic copy of their DACC transcript should contact the Records Office at 443-8797.
