Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer says the city received some good news with its Municipal Electrical Aggregation bid on Wednesday (March 7, 2018).
Homefield was the successful bidder…and the Mayor says the average Danville homeowner will save approximately $5 per month if they are in the program.
Danville residents in the electrical aggregation program have been paying 0.05569 per kilowatt hour. The new rate….effective with the June 2018 meter reading…will be 0.05053 per KWH the first year (a decrease of 0.00516) and in the second and third year the rate will be 0.05044 per KWH — which is a decrease from the first year.
Now that Homefield has been selected there will be a mass mailing to Danville residents explaining the new rates. And residents will have the opportunity to opt out of the Municipal Electric Aggregation program if they so choose.
