Danville School District 118 is launching a new approach to its opening school registration. Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Yacobi says the district realizes that in the past families have had to travel to multiple locations to register children of different ages. So, for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year, District 118 will be rolling out its first ‘Centralized Registration at the David S. Palmer Arena’.
Registrations will be accepted at the Arena on Wednesday, June 6th from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. – and on Thursday, June 7th, 2018 from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m.
All kindergarten through 12th grade students will be able to register at the same place and time.
On May 12th registration packets will be mailed to the homes of all students. By receiving the packet is serves as proof of residency. If you are unsure that your child’s school has your correct address you should call the school to confirm it. Information in the registration packets will include payment of school fees, physicals and immunization requirements, parking and shuttle service materials.
If a parent has questions about completing information in their packet they should call their child’s school for assistance.
Arriving at the Palmer Arena with a completed packet will allow you to move through registration quickly. At the Palmer Arena you will find all information and services previously provided at your home school registration. Information on the dress code, school bus sign-up, and nurses for physical and immunization questions are among the information that will be available at the Palmer Arena on June 6th and 7th.
