An April 24th sentencing date has been set for a Danville man who has pleaded guilty to striking and killing a man while driving under the influence of alcohol. Forty-six year old Randy Hill entered what is called a ‘’blind plea’’ to a charge of aggravated driving under the influence. The ‘’blind plea’’ means there is no specific agreement between attorneys on a sentence, so the judge will consider all options.
Police say Hill’s vehicle struck and killed 23-year-old Merit Hicks of Danville in October of 2015. The accident occurred in the 3600 block of North Vermilion Street.
