The Danville District 118 School Board has approved a $1.5 million dollar contract for upgrades at Edison Elementary School. The school board met in a special session late Wednesday and approved the work on the 90 year old building.
The improvements will include upgrades for windows and heating and air conditioning. There will also be some tuck pointing on the brick around the school with the work scheduled to be completed by early next year.
Edison Elementary School is located at the corner of North Vermilion and Winter Streets in Danville.
