Vermilion County Clerk Cathy Jenkins has announced that petition packets are now available for Independent and New Political Party Candidates who intend to run in the November 6th, 2018 General Election.
Packets may be picked up at the Vermilion County Clerk’s Office in Danville. They are available from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Vermilion County Administration Building at 201 North Vermilion Street.
Petitions must be filed with the Vermilion County Clerk beginning Monday, June 18, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. through Monday, June 25, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
Local offices to be elected in the November 6, 2018 General Election include County Clerk, County Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, Sheriff, Regional Superintendent of Schools, Board of Review members and County Board members.
Federal, state and judicial offices will also be on the ballot. Information and necessary forms for those offices may be found on the State Board of Elections’ website at www.elections.il.gov.
