Danville Police are seeking information regarding an incident on Sunday (April 1, 2018) in which shots were fired from a vehicle. Shortly after 3:30 Sunday afternoon police say an officer observed shots being fired from a silver colored vehicle. The vehicle sped away when the officer attempted a traffic stop in the area of East Main and Kentucky Streets.
The pursuit ended in the area of Collett Street and Madison when two passengers fled on foot. Danville Police Commander Joshua Webb says the driver stayed in the vehicle and was arrested. He is identified as 22-year-old Devin Villarreal of Danville (shown above) who was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and aggravated fleeing and eluding.

The two passengers who ran from the scene were arrested nearby. They are indentified as 19-year-old Jodavious Jones (on left) and Tyree Johnson (on right), also 19, of Danville. They were both held on preliminary charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of weapons and obstructing and resisting a peace officer.
Commander Webb says two firearms that were believed to have been involved in the incident have been recovered. He adds Danville Police are seeking information that might help in the investigation of this case.
