A Danville man whose interest in radio developed into leadership roles locally, nationally and internationally is featured this month on the front cover of Radio Ink Magazine…a nationwide trade publication. Mike Hulvey is the Vice President/COO of Neuhoff Media which owns WDNL, WDAN and WRHK Radio in Danville and other stations in Springfield, Decatur and Lafayette, Indiana.
Hulvey explained why he thinks the trade association magazine picked him for the article…
Hulvey is one of the guest speakers this week at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention where some 100,000 people are expected to attend. And Hulvey says his message will be one he has shared with many people before…
But Hulvey notes there are challenges ahead for radio – especially since most people tune to radio in their vehicles. He wonders what will happen 30 years from now – when maybe people will no longer be driving those vehicles…
Hulvey is an officer of the National Radio Advertising Bureau and a year from now will be the new chairman of that organization. He is also President of the International Broadcasters Idea Bank – a group of 100 broadcasters who own 450 radio stations. Hulvey has also been very active in the Illinois Broadcasters Association and National Association of Broadcasters.
