Balloons Over Vermilion is just three months away, and preparations continue for the event that will be held July 13th and 14th at the Vermilion Regional Airport. Event co-chairman Pat O’Shaughnessy says the official host class for the event from Judith Giacoma Elementary School in Westville was given a special assignment – to design some balloons…
O’Shaughnessy adds the students in Shelly Jenkin’s fourth-grade class have done a great job….
Miley Royer’s colorful balloon looks like a soccer ball. Nine-year-old Devin Cooper says the bird on his balloon represents the television program ‘Agents of Shield’.
The class learned in February that it had been selected to serve as official ambassadors for this summer’s Balloons Over Vermilion.
[Again, that event is coming July 13th and 14th at the Vermilion Regional Airport.]
