Thousands of people took advantage of some nice weather Thursday to attend Ag Day events on the campus of Danville Area Community College. Visitors had a chance to view various farm related displays and tour the DACC greenhouse. Many of those in attendance were children who got to visit a barnyard petting zoo and ride pedal tractors.
As the spring planting season arrives, Kerry Wienke, Executive Director of the Vermilion County Farm Bureau, said it has been more than the weather that has had farmers concerned….
Wienke (shown here) adds that if the tariffs are put in place, it will have a big impact on Vermilion County farmers…..
Wienke was commenting for VermilionCountyFirst.com News during the Ag Day event at Danville Area Community College. He said the Farm Bureau was on hand to back the efforts of the DACC Ag Club and to discuss agriculture with the general public.
