A plant sale at Danville Area Community College attracted a crowd Thursday morning. People lined up to buy plants being sold by the students in the Environmental Horticulture Program at DACC.

And Krabbe noted there were a variety of plants for sale…
Hanging baskets and basket liners were available for five-dollars each.

House plants were being sold for two-dollars, and tomatoes, peppers, herbs and flowers were just 50-cents apiece. All of the plants had been raised by DACC students with help from Krabbe. The plant sale continues on Friday (April 27th, 2018) from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the DACC Julius W. Hegeler II Greenhouse.

Crops from the garden are used for teaching purposes in the Culinary program at Danville Area Community College, and also help students in need of food.
