Danville Police are holding a suspect in connection with a Thursday evening (May 3rd) shooting. Public Safety Director Larry Thomason says officers were flagged down in the area of the 900 block of Cleveland Street around 7:30 p.m. and were told a shooting had occurred. The victim had already left the scene and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.
Thomason says the gunshot was to a leg of the victim, and was not life-threatening. He adds Danville Police have taken a suspect into custody in this incident. Other details, though, were not being immediately released.
