The Vermilion County Board has approved a plan to have the Housing Authority of the City of Danville serve as the board for the Vermilion County Housing Authority. County Board Chairman Mike Marron says it does not merge the agencies, but will allow for the consolidation of government and commonsense cost savings.
‘’The dramatic improvements seen in the Housing Authority of the City of Danville under their new leadership, over the past few years, is what week seek to replicate in the County Authority,’’ said Marron.
The County Board last night also approved a salary schedule for the officials who will be elected this fall.
The County Treasurer, County Clerk, and Supervisor of Assessments salary will remain at $70,710 annually through 2019-2020.
