DLO Musical Theatre in Danville is teaming with the new Teen Theatre Company in Danville for the upcoming teen production of Disney’s High School Musical On Stage. Open auditions will be held Wednesday, May 23rd and Friday, May 25th, starting at 6:00 p.m. both days. The auditions will occur at the Center Stage Rehearsal Hall at the Village Mall in Danville. You only need to attend on one date is you plan to audition.
Performances will be August 11th and 12th in the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium at Danville High School. It marks the first time the two theatre groups have joined forces for a production.
Auditions for this teen production are open to actors age 14 to 19. A script for review is available at the front desk of the Danville Public Library. Those auditioning are being asked to choose a song that best demonstrates their vocal abilities. The song does not have to be from this particular show.
DLO Musical Theatre was formed in 1956, and the Teen Theatre Company of Danville was formed in 2017.
