Vermilion County Conservation District Trustees have agreed to form two committees to help complete the Kennekuk Environmental Education Center. Conservation Board President Jonathan Myers says a building committee will work with educators and experts in the construction trades to review designs for phases two and three of the Center..
Myers thinks that if the second and third phases can be completed it will be a huge boost for tourism in our area..
Myers says he expects appointments to be announced soon on who will serve on the new committees. The first phase of the education center was completed in 2014. Phases two and three include more classroom space and a timber-framed conference center.
