But Bennett does not like a provision that penalizes local school districts by making them pay more into TRS – the state teacher retirement system – is they give raises higher than 3 percent….
Several Vermilion County school districts – including Danville District 118 – raced to get new contracts approved this past weekend in order to avoid the penalty – at least for awhile.
