It has been another busy night for Danville Firefighters as they battled a blaze in a vacant house. The alarm for the fire at 2007 East Main Street sounded just before 12:30 a.m. (on July 3rd, 2018), and firefighters were on the scene until 5:00 a.m.
Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the two-story structure when they arrived. The fire was burning in an upstairs/attic area and before it was out it had burned the roof off of the home.
There were no injuries. Preliminary damage estimates were placed at $20-thousand dollars.
