A fund-raiser on Saturday (July 7, 2018) in Danville helped Veterans who are working out post traumatic stress disorder…also known as PTSD.
Jenny Merrell and Julia Wilson are two mothers whose sons committed suicide after returning from military service. They turned their grief around to help other veterans by forming the local group ‘Working Out PTSD’.
Wilson says that Merrell noticed when her son was in the gym working out it seemed to make him feel better mentally…
On Saturday (July 7, 2018) ‘Working Out PTSD’ held its second annual fundraiser, a motorcycle ride that started at American Legion Post 210 in Danville. Scores of motorcycle riders participated along with members from a local Jeep club and Corvette club. And others were also invited to join the ride.

Saturday evening there was a band, food and silent auction at the American Legion Post with all proceeds going to ‘Working Out PTSD’.
The women say that if you could not participate in the ride you can still drop off donations for Working Out PTSD at American Legion Post 210 in Danville.
