Although there are a lot of manufacturing job opportunities in the county, Hunter says the trick is getting young people to stay in the county to fill them. He says Danville Area Community College is offering some incredible training opportunities. Local industries are also playing a key role in the training. For example, thyssenkrupp has a youth apprenticeship program that just received some national publicity in the Financial Times.
