Danville’s Schlarman Academy has a new principal. The Peoria Catholic Diocese has announced that effective Monday (September 24th) Mark Janesky has been promoted to principal. He had been the assistant principal.
A statement from the Office of Catholic Schools thanked Mrs. Gail Lewis ‘’for her years of service to the families and alumni of Schlarman Academy of Danville.’’
Janesky says the switch to principal was something he was not expecting. He added that there is nothing illegal, immoral, or anything of that nature that he is aware of that caused the Office of Catholic Schools to make the change.
A letter telling about the change was sent to Schlarman Academy parents on Monday. Janesky just became the assistant principal in July. Prior to accepting the assistant principal position at Schlarman Janesky had been working as the Assistant Regional Superintendent of Schools for Vermilion County.
