OSF HealthCare is planning to take ownership of Danville Polyclinic early next year. Leaders from the two local healthcare institutions have signed a letter of intent, but a timeframe on completing the transaction is pending regulatory approvals.
In a joint statement OSF and Polyclinic said they are committed to ensuring continued access to quality care and services during the shift in ownership. And they add patients should see no change in care throughout this process.
‘’We are excited to continue to grow our Ministry and serve the patients in Danville and the surrounding communities,’’ said Dr. Jeffry Tillery, CEO of OSF Medical Group. ‘’Our goal is to assure that high-quality, affordable care is available and sustainable,’’ he added. And Dr. Tillery says they feel this transition of ownership will allow OSF to continue that work. ‘’We respect Danville Polyclinic’s commitment to its patients and community and will work diligently to make this move as seamless as possible for patients,’’ added Dr. Tillery.
Dr. NareshGoel is President of the Board of Danville Polyclinic. He says Danville Polyclinic doctors, health care providers and administrators are unanimously supporting the decision to join OSF Healthcare in the near future. Dr. NareshGoel says the move will stabilize, improve and expand hospital and outpatient health care for all patients in Danville and a wide surrounding area.
